Morgantown Rod and Gun Club Meeting Minutes November 26th, 2025

Meeting Called to Order:

·         7:03 pm by President Brian Ink.

Members in Attendance:

·         There were 14 members, and three returning applicants. 

Minutes of Last Meeting:

·         Read by Secretary Josh Creswell, motion to accept Bob Grimley, seconded by Sharon Baer.

Treasurer Report:

·         Read by Treasurer Jeff Creswell, motion to accept by Donny Myers, seconded by George Emanuel.

·         Income came from the shotgun shoot, shoot kitchen, shoot raffle, dues, application fees, and raffle tickets.

·         Expenses included electric, shotgun shoot, shoot kitchen, shoot raffle, workday supplies, and the credit card for workday supplies, gate lock, workday food, background checks, raffle tickets, and rail road ties for the pistol traps.

New Business:

·         Nominations and elections were held.  All the positions will remain the same as the in the previous year.  Brian Ink will be president, Donny Myers will be vice president, Josh Creswell will be secretary, and Jeff Creswell will be treasurer.  The trustees will be Lee Maxwell, Rich Corday, Jason Ink, and Dalton Ink.

·         Next month’s meeting, December, will be cancelled since it conflicts with Christmas.

New Members:

·         Three returning applicants were voted into the club, John Yount and Stephanie Yount, both sponsored by Bob Grimley, and Robert Klinger, Jr., sponsored by Sharon Baer. There was one new applicant.

·         The next Whitetails Unlimited event will be held April 18^th in Kutztown.  Fliers are already made.  There are no prices as of yet for tables.  The club made $8,500 at the last event.

·         The club served desserts after the pervious meeting.  Some were supplied by the club and obtained by Sharon and Mellissa Russell and some were contributed by club members.  There was a good turnout.

Old Business:

·         None.

Unfinished Business:

·         The new pistol range is partially complete with the backstop finished.  Wire will need to be installed.

·         Brian will contact his accountant for information on the IRS form the club needs to fill out for reinstatement.

·         The club needs to make final decisions on the construction of the pattern frame.

·         A time needs to be determined to lay millings in the driveway.  The weather is not a factor and this can be done regardless of the temperature.  This can be after Christmas.  The timing will depend on what works best for Donny.

Committee Reports:

·         The merchandise committee had mugs and patches made.  The mugs will retail at $10 and the patches at $5.
