Morgantown Rod and Gun Club Meeting Minutes March 26th, 2025

Meeting Called to Order:
· 7:00 pm by President Brian Ink.
Members in Attendance:
· There were 17 members, seven new applicants, and 3 new applicants in attendance.
Minutes of Last Meeting:
· Read by Secretary Josh Creswell, motion to accept by Jason Ink, seconded by George Emanual.
Treasurer Report:
· Read by Treasurer Jeff Creswell, motion to accept by Garrett Russell, seconded by Lee Maxwell.
· Income came from the shotgun shoot, shoot kitchen, shoot raffle, dues, application fees, a late fee, merchandise, and raffle tickets.
· Expenses included electric, shotgun shoot, shoot kitchen, shoot raffle, outhouse inspection, and the credit card for website renewal, PO box key, gift card for the raffle, and a meeting for the upcoming banquet.
New Business:
· Jeff will look into new software that is made specifically for gun clubs to manage membership.
· United Sportsman of PA sent information for members to take to see if they are interested in joining the organization personally. The club recently joined.
· Thunder Wash, a company to power wash the club and gutters, would cost around $500.
New Members:
· Seven returning applicants, Haley Baer, sponsored by Melissa Russell, Anthony Baer and Lori Spera, both sponsored by Garrett Russell, Frank Spera Jr, sponsored by Sharon Baer, Shawn Schneider, sponsored by Wayne Winther, and Justin Cassel and Jared Reich, both sponsored by Josh Creswell, were voted into the club. There were three new applicants, Gregory Knies, sponsored by Dalton Ink, Amanda Mercer, sponsored by Jason McDowell, and Jeffrey Skinner, sponsored by Don Myers Sr. Jeff went over club rules.
Old Business:
· The club still does not know who is making a mess at the 25 ft target making YouTube videos. It was determined that if they are found, they will be expelled from the club.
Unfinished Business:
· The club needs volunteers for the Whitetails Unlimited event that the club is cohosting. Lee Maxwell and Tyler Maxwell, Jeff, Josh, Jason, Dallton, Deb Ink, Melissa Russell, and Sharon Baer agreed to volunteer. This is enough for the Friday night set up and possibly Saturday for the event. The club will provide desserts. The club is still waiting to find out the expected attendance. Tickets and fliers are available. Five tables are already sold, two of which were bought by the club. Seats could be for volunteers. Eight tickets sold is a table which provides for a table captain who gets entered into a special raffle.
· The next workday will be Saturday, April 19th from 8 AM until around noon. The club hopes to even out dirt mounds in the back yard and do some staining and other projects.
Committee Reports:
· There is one more shotgun shoot. As usual, there will be no shoots over the summer.
Remarks:
· There was a great turnout at the last shotgun shoot and brought in money for the club.
